WWF หรือ World Wildlife Fund เป็นองค์กรไม่แสวงหาผลกำไรที่ดำเนินงานด้านการอนุรักษ์เป็นเวลากว่า 50 ปี ทำงานด้านการอนุรักษ์ใน 3 เขตพื้นที่ชุมชนทางนิเวศ คือ ทรัพยากรป่าไม้ ทรัพยากรน้ำจืดและทรัพยากรทางทะเลและชายฝั่ง โดยทั้งสามเขตดังกล่าว คือ ตัวแทนพื้นที่สำคัญทางด้านชีววิทยาของโลก ซึ่งหล่อเลี้ยงและเกื้อหนุนการดำรงอยู่ของสิ่งมีชีวิตทุกประเภท ซึ่งการปกป้องดูแลจะมีผลเชื่อมโยงไปยังการอยู่รอดของสัตว์น้อยใหญ่อื่นๆ อันรวมไปถึงถิ่นที่อยู่อาศัย WWF ยังกำหนดเป้าหมายในการรับมือกับภัยคุกคามจากการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศอีกด้วย
