Dear IKEA fans, if you have bought the LATTJO Bat cape please read on:
IKEA urges customers who have a LATTJO Bat cape to immediately stop children from playing with it and to bring it back to any IKEA store for a full refund.
IKEA is recalling LATTJO Bat cape after reports about three children that have received marks and scratches on the neck while using LATTJO Bat capes. The cape got stuck and didn’t detach easily enough from the neck of the children.
No injuries which required medical treatment have been reported, but due to the risk of strangulation or injuries to the neck, IKEA takes precautionary measures and recalls the product.
LATTJO Bat cape has been sold in IKEA Thailand since November 2015.
The LATTJO Bat cape can be returned to any IKEA store for a full refund. According to the Revenue department of Thailand (tax office), a receipt number should be stated in the credit note when issuing a refund, so we would appreciate if you can present the receipt. In case of no receipt, we will have to return in the form of an IKEA gift card. Thank you for your understanding.
